Mark Heinemann — In Memoriam

ATY 2K6 Finish

The 2003 Across the Years race committee regrets to inform the running community that a competitor in the 48-hour event, Mark Heinemann, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004. A subsequent autopsy determined that the cause of death was bilateral lobar pneumonia. Mark lived in Boulder, Colorado and was 46 years old.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Mark's family and friends.

Mark loved music, children and teaching children music. Across the Years has created a Mark Heinemann scholarship. The money will support the Mark Heinemann Fund sponsored by the Boulder Youth Symphony. Anyone wishing to contribute may do so through the Boulder Youth Symphony link shown.
